UNI Spectrum Project: Spreading a GREAT IDEA!

The Spectrum Project is a weekend performing arts (movement, drama & music) experience for children on the autism spectrum. Each child in the project is paired with a college student “buddy” who serves to assist the child with creative participation through forming a trusting relationship. College students direct the movement, drama and music elements of the project. The Spectrum Project follows in a line of previous endeavors that engage children with autism in the performing arts. This session will provide information on the forming of the first season of the Spectrum Project. The directors of the project will share their experiences working with performers and buddies during this first season.  More information at spectrumproject.org
