Assignment Criteria

Students will complete both of the following:

  1. Autism and Arts Education Symposium Attendance
    1. Attend the symposium from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on April 24 and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 25 on the UNI campus.
    2. Select and participate in the sessions most relevant to your professional needs.
    3. Choose two sessions for which to submit a reflective paper articulating how the presentations will impact your future practice.

  2. Three-page Reflection Paper
    1. Typed and double-spaced, with 1-inch margins on all sides.
    2. Title page that includes the following:
      1. Your name
      2. Instructor’s name (see below)
      3. Course title - Workshop: Autism and Arts Education
      4. Presenters’ names, days and times of the sessions attended.

    3. Questions for reflection include:
      1. How do these presentations influence my future teaching practices?
      2. In what ways did the ideas presented change my dispositions, knowledge and/or instructional practices?
      3. What personal connections can I make to the ideas presented? 
Mail your assignments (keep a copy for yourself) to the course instructor by Friday, May 8, 2015. (Instructor names and email addresses can be found on previous page.)
